Overnight, everyone was talking about how beautiful Valentino’s 2016 Paris Haute Couture was: the embroidery was generously placed on the semi-transparent gauze skirts, wrapping the girl’s body like an oil painting, making her look like an ancient Greek goddess or fairy, stepping barefoot on the land of the East.
Although haute couture only serves a few thousand people on average every year, people are still willing to appreciate the light of power born under real colored gemstone crystals, gold wire hollowing and hand-embroidery.

Objectively speaking, the frigidity trend of restraining minimalism has been popular for three or two years. Even ZARA and H&M have imitated countless issues of solid color shirts, denim skirts and monochrome straw hats. MUJI and Uniqlo have also ushered in an unprecedented sales boom.
When the cycle of reincarnation finally reverses, people are tired of boyfriend styles and baseball shirts, and people naturally start to take the initiative in long hems with finely crafted patterns, and their vision tends to be bright and detailed - just look at how well Gucci's floral and snake patterns are selling this year.
So, after releasing the spring and summer series of the African grasslands, designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli cleverly added complex and exquisite Eastern Tantric elements to this season's Valentino haute couture: pine and crane embroidery, carp and dragon, gauze velvet and 100-tonne cloth allow the body to return to nature in another sense, liberating human nature.

Even so, I don’t recommend going to Joy City or Uncle Ma Yun to buy a semi-sheer tulle skirt. Trying to imitate Valentino’s couture fairy dress with cheap embroidery and bling bling rhinestones will be a disaster if you think about it with your toes.
There is no way to pretend to be immortal with clothes. Cheap needlework and perspective can't imitate the figure of Valentino's fairy. But the Byzantine makeup, which is the same style as the show, can be learned. It is a retro and fresh makeup. If done properly, you can really adjust your appearance and temperament.
Let’s take the model Viva as an example. Before being put on carefully designed makeup, Viva was a pretty big girl:

However, at Valentino’s haute couture show, she turned into this:

Even if you don’t look at the legs and skirt, Viva already looks like a fairy.
For another example, Julia Fleming was extremely frigid when she was walking for Calvin Klein:

This time, I became infinitely gentle, intellectual and beautiful:

And Lia Pavlova, who looked like Guo Biting on the show, was the same husband when she was filming a blockbuster for Wang Daren:

He looked like this when he walked in the Valentino Haute Couture show:

There is also Dior girl Bara Podzimkova, looking like this at the Dior 2016 early spring show:

This time the Valentino fairy was described as the opening chapter:

Fairy makeup seems to be possible. No matter how limited the facial features are, adding a little fairy spirit to the original foundation is always much better than wearing a see-through skirt that you think is fairy and being a nightclub girl every minute.
So I chatted with Dabao, a senior makeup stylist, to analyze Valentino’s show makeup and write it down as a heuristic lesson.
“Of course this makeup can be talked about, it is very exquisitely designed. "Dabao said: "In the past, brands that may have been more fairy-like were all nude and refreshing. But this time, because the clothes have a royal ornate atmosphere, I added a little more color to the makeup to make it even more gorgeous. ”
Base makeup
The models used by Valentino are not overage, and the makeup techniques are trying to be closer to those of younger ages. Dabao said: "The biggest feature of this show's makeup is that the base makeup is very moist, like a hydrating skin. This luster will make the model look particularly young." ”

Glossy base makeup has been popular for more than two years. The air cushion BB cream popular in Korean makeup is a representative product that adds gloss.
However, the pursuit of girlish luster always seems to conflict with the durability of makeup for oily and combination skin. For example, I, who have combination skin, only dare to use air cushions in winter.
So for people with combination skin, I personally recommend using YSL’s Bright Color Pen and CPB’s Glossy Foundation (CPB’s Brightening Cream is also good, but it has a slightly heavier feel and is more effective at covering acne marks) to create a glossy base.

The former is Photoshop for dark circles and nasolabial folds (I have been troubled by both of them all year round and use 5 or 6 bright pencils a year); the latter is my mother’s brand makeup base that can hold makeup for combination oily skin while maintaining gloss.
In addition, Dabao recommended to me the Armani dropper liquid foundation, which is also a popular foundation all year round. You can give it a try.
Eye
“A large area of orange-brick red color makes the outline look very deep. ”

“The lower eyelashes are deliberately elongated, making the eyes look watery. ”

“Adding white inner eyeliner will make your eyes look particularly clear. ”
In fact, a high-end eye makeup technique will not make people recognize it at first glance, especially when you are on the road to pursuing immortality, your eye makeup must be eye-catching and clear enough.

Dabao mentioned that Asian girls’ eyelashes are prone to collapse, which is a very common problem.
Especially for those with soft and fine hair like me, it is recommended to use KATE eyelash primer before applying mascara. Apply a thin layer to keep it straight and waterproof.

Everyone might as well try the products Dabao mentioned in the conversation. For eyeshadow, I personally use LUNASOL’s earthy colors all year round. LUNASOL also launched a sand-colored eyeshadow in 2014. The texture is quite consistent with Valentino, which is interesting:

Eyebrows
“The eyebrow shape of the entire show is designed according to each model's own hair color and eyebrow conditions, so everyone is different. ”
“As for the eyebrow shape, it is drawn more naturally according to the model's own conditions, like the eyebrows of a 15 or 6-year-old girl. ”In fact, it is to make minimal modifications on the basis of visual comfort:

This seemingly bland painting method hides a hidden thought. Each eyebrow design is adjusted based on the model itself: stray hairs are trimmed, and eyebrow powder one color darker than the model's hair color is used to lightly create girly faces.
Everyone seems to have only one KATE eyebrow powder, and mine has already collapsed in the second box:

The eyebrow pencil I recommend is Opalai's light gray one, which I have used for the third time. I have also been using KATE's ultra-fine eyebrow pencil, but it is used to fill in the missing parts of my eyebrows because the tip of the pen is really thin and suitable for outlining.
Contouring
Although the entire makeup looks more youthful, Valentino does not design the blush in a cute Japanese style.

In contrast, the Valentino show "used tonal oranges and apricots, connected to blush in a silhouette." Dabao explained: "This makes the face look particularly three-dimensional. Although the makeup is very youthful, this style of painting will make people look more aura and more relevant to the theme." ”
Sleek's blushers are so cost-effective that I forgot what shade I have, but I have been using them for more than two years, and even though the shell is dirty and turned into a Sephora over-the-counter trial size, I still stick with it:

Lipstick is not very picky in this makeup look. I am currently using an Australian brand. It is said that the ingredients are natural and you will not be able to give birth to a colorful baby if you eat it (suitable for pregnant women):

After using it for more than a month, my biggest feeling is that it is not very pigmented and does not fade easily. The texture is smoother than ordinary lipsticks. It is very suitable for applying a thin layer and pretending to be beautiful without any additives.
In fact, the essence of advanced customization is to create unique designs based on different individuals. Take for example the headwear worn by the models in this show.

If you look closely, you will see that it is designed according to the shape of each girl's skull. It does not repeat itself and is quite subtle. Every step from the micro level is the eye-catching part of Valentino's show.
The makeup of this show has been discussed from beginning to end.
In fact, its most attractive feature is very similar to the Dragon Lady character in "Game of Thrones" - there is a queen living under the young and watery appearance.
Compared with the silly and sweet ones, it has an extra layer of filling, making it rich and attractive.
