It is said that "Where does your inspiration come from" is the question designers hate to be asked, because sometimes they don't know the exact time and place where the creativity occurred. However, the public is always curious about designers’ ideas, so the question of inspiration is still raised.
However, recently, Northern Irish designer Jonathan William Anderson decided to create a new exhibition to reveal all his sources of inspiration for everyone to see. Based on this alone, this exhibition titled "Exciting" is indeed quite exciting. Anderson has always placed the concepts of gender and body at the center of his designs for his eponymous brand, J.W. Anderson, which means he will be open and honest in discussing sex, art and fashion.

“I hope that the exhibition will reflect the speed and unexpected circumstances of our consumption today, and that there will be a space for us to explore the ideas of gender and the characteristics that have become my creative practice. ” Anderson said in a statement.
This exhibition will be opened at the Hepworth Wakefield Museum in the UK from March 18 next year. Hepworth's gallery is named after the famous sculptor Barbara Hepworth, and its space will be arranged into different scenes of inspiration.
For example, one room will display menswear inspirations for autumn/winter 2013, which will be correspondingly layered with leather skirts and marigold gloves, while another room will display the work of photographers Jamie Hawksworth and Alistair McClellan, which have inspired Anderson's creations. Other rooms include works by the museum's founding artists, and there will be an interactive installation designed by Anderson in the center.
