PingWest got hands-on experience with the first batch of engineering prototypes of the Air Bluetooth headset. The final product may still change, but the overall appearance and actual use conditions are already quite satisfactory. Won the hearts of the Appearance Association.

Two capsule Bluetooth earphones are placed in the storage box. The magnetic storage box can charge the two earphones. One full charge can power the earphones four times, and one full charge takes one hour. Although the earphones are small in size, the battery life can reach a total of 16 hours. The charging interface of the anodized aluminum storage box uses Apple's latest USB Type-C interface. The existence of the storage box also prevents the loss of isolated small parts such as Bluetooth headsets. The headphones are placed in the storage box and turned on. The size of a mobile phone can be easily carried in a trouser pocket or backpack.

According to Zhang Haixing, founder of Crazybaby, Air itself samples a large amount of data on human ear contours, and is more suitable for the ear contours of Asians, especially Asian women, than those made abroad, so it is smaller in size. The headphones will also come with different latex pads to fit different auricles.

The two headphones are independent of each other and are not connected by any wires. The two headphones are paired for the first time, and any one of them can be used to connect to the device and play after pairing. Taking into account that excessive sweating during exercise will affect complex operations on the headphones, there is only one button. You can turn on and off, connect, adjust the volume, etc. through simple operations such as long press and tap.

Air uses the Bluetooth 4.2 high-energy transmission protocol, which can be adapted to mainstream smartphones and various Bluetooth devices on the market. The Bluetooth 4.2 protocol improves data transmission by 2.5 times and increases data capacity by 10 times compared with the previous generation. At the same time, it is equipped with a CSR high-definition analysis chip to ensure the restoration of sound quality, and uses True TWS Stereo to ensure the sound quality. In order to prevent the problem of out-of-sync between speaking and hearing during calls, Air is equipped with an ultra-high-sensitivity microphone to ensure clear and smooth sound in both directions. Stable data transmission prevents frequent disconnections.

There are currently various Bluetooth headsets on the market, but most of them are not complete "Bluetooth headsets" and still do not get rid of wires or are relatively bloated. Personal requirements for Bluetooth headsets are not actually focused on sound quality. The top three are good looks, compactness and portability, and stability during exercise. Average sound quality is enough for me. It's just an engineering prototype at the moment, and it undoubtedly performs well on the three points I value. It is said that the final version will be smaller. As for the sound performance of the earphones, at least the bass part is really satisfactory. It is still similar to what I focused on when making magnetic levitation speakers. I hope the final mass-produced machine can maintain this level.

As for the price issue, Mr. Zhang Haixing, the founder of Crazybaby, said that it will eventually be lower than domestic and foreign brand products of the same sound quality and will be officially launched around Christmas this year.
